Understanding Account to Account Transfer Settlement Windows

Account-to-Account (A2A) transfers refer to interbank transactions processed through the hydrogen switch.
To ensure smooth and timely fund movement between institutions, these transactions are processed in defined settlement windows throughout the day.

A2A Settlement Windows

There are four official settlement windows for A2A transactions:

  1. Three windows are dedicated to regular A2A transaction settlement.

  2. One window serves as an adjustment window for corrections or updates.

 1. 8:00 AM Window

Covers transactions from 3:00 PM (previous day) to 4:59 AM (current day).

2. 11:00 AM (Adjustment Window)

Dedicated to sending adjustment files as necessary.

3. 2:00 PM Window

Covers transactions from 5:00 AM to 11:59 AM of the same day.

4. 5:00 PM Window

Covers transactions from 12:00 PM to 2:59 PM of the same day.

N.B: The times stated for each window represent cut-off times, not fixed processing times. This means that settlement can occur before the cut-off time but not after it.
